POAG EXECUTIVE MINUTES - February 2007:     

The Executive Committee of the Peace Officers’ Association of Georgia, Inc. held a meeting at 10 A. M., February 9, 2007, at the Georgia State Capitol, Atlanta, Georgia. Committee members attending included President Gary Hill, Board Members Thomas Alley and Mike Jones, Secretary-Treasurer John Conley, and Legislative Chairman Homer Bryson. Vice President Jimmy Jones, Executive Director Marion Conley, Attorney Frank Childs and Chaplain Rick Lanford were unable to attend.

President Gary Hill called the meeting to order.

Mike Jones made a motion, which was seconded by Thomas Alley and passed to approve the minutes from January, 2007. The financial statement for January was not available because the bank statement from First National Bank of the Lakes, Minneapolis, Minnesota had not been received.

A “Memorandum of Agreement between Excelsior College and Peace Officers Association of Georgia” had been received by the office. This agreement had been passed out for each Committee person to review. John Conley made a motion that this agreement be accepted, pending the approval of Attorney Frank Childs. This motion was seconded by Mike Jones and passed. A copy of this agreement is attached and made a part of these minutes.

President Gary Hill announced the March meeting would be scheduled at a later date.
