Death Investigations is designed to incorporate
traditional, successful, investigative techniques with 21st
century technologies. The
course topics include areas such as, supervisory concerns, providing
adequate response, allocation of personnel, role and responsibility of the
case agent as a manager and leader, crime scene security,
post-mortem examination and autopsy, pattern injuries , organizing
the investigations, and documenting and preserving vital information.
Investigative strategies developed through crime analysis,
victimology, and offender profiling will be discussed.

ROADSIDE IMPAIRED DRIVING ENFORCEMENT (A.R.I.D.E.)

Prerequisite: 24 hour Standardized Field Sobriety
Testing
Who should attend: Law enforcement officers tasked with
traffic enforcement duties. A
16 hour course of study designed to enhance law enforcement officers’
ability to recognize the role of traffic enforcement and its relationship to
highway safety. Officers will
be trained to recognize psychophysical and clinical indicators of impairment
that are consistent with a subject who is under the influence of drugs
alone, or in combination with alcohol, and to take appropriate action.
A strong emphasis will be placed on the proper administration of the
NHTSA SFST battery and interpretation of the results.

refresher training to retain their certification.
The officer’s certification should be near the expiration prior to
registering for this course to attain maximum benefits.
